The Most Dangerous Venomous Snakes: Australia, New Guinea

Mulga Snake

  • Scientific name: Pseudechis australis
  • Family: Elapidae
  • Genus: Black snakes
  • Length: Up to 9.8 feet (3 meters)
  • Venom: Neurotoxic

The mulga snake produces the largest amount of venom out of all Australian snakes. But it only rarely attacks humans. Even though it’s actually very aggressive. This snake is easy to confuse with the inland taipan, as they have similar coloring.
