Each year, the ugliest dog in the world is crowned. Here are the ugliest dogs from 1998-2023!
The uglier, the better! Each year at the Sonoma-Marin Fair in California (USA), a dog takes to the stage to receive the title of “ugliest dog in the world”. And their ugliness pays off: the four-legged winner gets toys, pretty leashes and treats and the owner gets prize money.
Often, the dogs in the competition haven’t had it easy. They have been saved from rescue centers and pounds, and experienced difficult starts in life.
The owners of these dogs have opened their hearts to animals that look different and will stick with them whatever may come. They take the competition with a pinch of salt - it’s important to keep a sense of humor in spite of everything, or maybe because of everything.
