About Famous Cats and Their Names

Famous Cats Beginning With C

• Casper - took the bus

Casper was a sneaky one. He would disappear suddenly and without a trace, and would turn up just as unexpectedly. That’s why he was called Casper, after the ghost in the film of the same name. Three years later, his owner Susan found out that her cheeky little chappie had been traveling around the neighborhood on the bus! Each morning at 10, he took the “line 3” to the last stop and back. That was 11.1 miles (18 km). Eventually, the cat was known all around town and very popular with many passengers. His love of bus journeys was sadly put to an end by a taxi that ran him over...

Her owner Jake Perry also owned Grandpa Rex Allen, who held the record for the oldest cat in the world before Creme Puff. Jake must be a very loving, caring “can opener” ;)

In 2012, Diabetes sufferer Susan March-Armstrong was unconscious in the bathroom while her husband was asleep in bed. Little black and white tomcat Charley noticed straight away that something wasn’t right with his master, but couldn’t do anything himself. But he knew just who could help: Susan’s husband. Charley jumped up on the bed and licked his face until he woke up, then insisted that he come into the bathroom. He was able to save Susan. Thanks to the hero on four paws!

• Chase No Face - the therapy cat without a face

Chase lost her nose and the fur on her face in an accident. But she didn’t lose her lust for life! Although her wounds have since healed and she’s no longer in pain, she looks different than other cats. And she has a new job that spreads a lot of joy: she is a therapy cat for people that have also had accidents and don’t look like they used to.
