This trunk-like nose is kind of cute. It reminds us a little of the junk dealer Watto from Star Wars - The Phantom Menace. There are countless hairs in its nostrils, which stop the animal from breathing in the dust that is constantly blown up from the steppe. In winter, the ice-cold air is breathed in through the nose, where it’s warmed up. Ugly but practical!
